Here’s a little bit of background about me. I grew up in a family of physicians. So, it was natural for me to pursue a medical career. At the same time, I enjoyed fine arts such as playing piano, painting and crafts. I was attracted to dentistry as a young adult when I found that I could blend my scientific interest and artistic handiwork together in a single profession.
I obtained a dental degree from Boston University, graduating with top honors and ranking first in my graduating class. This earned me the prestigious membership into the Dental Honor Society. I started practicing dentistry in 1996 and came to realize the importance of establishing great relationships with my patients. I learned then that the greatest reward for a dentist is a patient stating that their dentist was a factor in improving their lifestyle.
Since moving to the Bay Area, I’ve taught at the University of Pacific dental school and associated with several local dentists. In 2003, I established my own practice in San Carlos; and now I live in nearby Redwood City with my husband and two sons.
